I have been a scoundrel and a loser, and I still haven't gotten the Gray City Contest prizes sent out. The finished ones are all sitting on my bedside table with their corresponding boxes. The unfinished ones (and there are only two) are yet unfinished because I have been tired, have had artist's block, and haven't had the time. Add in sickness from this ridiculous flu season, and you get SUCK. But never fear! I actually have a vacation now where I don't have to go anywhere, don't have to worry about a car blowing up, don't have to worry about family members in a hospital, don't have to bust my butt to get anything academic done, and don't have to work (most importantly!) and this is all GREAT. I am going to sit at home on my butt until I have everything done. Then I'ma gonna march myself over to the post office and get these things sent out THIS WEEK. Or ELSE. And this will be a wonderful load off my back, and these wonderful people will finally have the nice prizes they have so rightfully earned. (That's the best part for me.)

Recently, I have gotten back to crafting which I took as a good sign, because I got most of the jewelry pieces of the Gray City awards done months ago and haven't really made anything since. I just found the perfect blue stone for one of the prizes, I've literally been looking for one for months. It is perfect, it is so dark it is almost opaque. Just this rich, dark, indigo blue. And then for my birthday last month I got a gift card to Michael's craft store and got some beautiful beads. I am still experimenting with wire work, but I definitely know a lot more than I did before. My fiance also got me some precious metal clay for my birthday and I can't wait to try it out. BUT first things first. What's sad is... I haven't drawn anything at all (not at all) since my last drawn deviation, "The Royal Duel," which is a little under a year ago now. Really sad. I hope to remedy that soon...

So, yes, I'm still alive. Yes, I'm determined. Yes, I am full of regret that it's been so long and I still don't have these things completely done yet. ;_;
